What are the advantages of XP Pro over the home virgin?
More stuff to tweak!
OOOOOO tweaking with the Pro Virgin how kewl
the main differences are in networking, as XP-Pro has all the business kind of network options and security, while the Home version, just has few networking options.
Dont waste your money on Pro, if your a home user, but if your a business then xp-pro is better.
I only bought the pro because i work at home and i need IIS (webserver) for that.
Otherwise i would have spent my money on something else.
XP Pro, without a doubt. XP home isn't that good from what i've tinkered with it in the shops
check microsofts website for official differences of course, without bias of.."oh my XP is better than yours" lol
Essentially they are the same, its just networking and security thats different.
Buy Pro if you're rich, and don't if you're not! lol
in addition to these things, pro offers dual processor support while home doesnt.
By the way, you don't have to buy retail. I bought a copy of WinXP Pro OEM for $120 on eBay. It just comes with the disc and a quickstart manual, which is all you really need.
haha. I agree with that! xp pro all the way.
