ok i just formatted my computer, sp1 inatalled, and all working fine, but now when ever i try to access my computer the computer freezes, i checked in same mode if there were any errors with the drivers and they are fine, i did a check disk and all is fine, ram is all good and mobo checks out, does anyone know why this might be happening???

    check your interrupts

you most likely have a conflict

if your audio is onboard try disabling it in the bios also disable other peripherals and reboot

    if no freeze
re-enable them one at a time

most times xp will reassign interrups when you disable your devices in the bios solving your problem

if your on a via chipset get the new drivers

if your cpu is too hot this will cause freezes
check yopur fan and cpu and make sure the fan is flat on the cpu

anyone else want to take a shot?

    cheers
