WRT54G Issues

Yes and mine are fine also ... seems throwing stuff out is an answer we see a little too often imho

You guys are the lucky ones then. I have always had issues with having connections drop and constant reboots. Most of the people's pc's I work on have the same issues. Then the reason you are probably not having issues is because of you putting different firmware in it.

I hope that will maybe fix the issue...it would be something new to try

the router is the WRT54G v8, doesnt seem there is support for that with tomato..unless i overlooked?

Nope, no tomato for you. :( Looks like (I looked really quick) like you could use the micro version of DD-WRT on that router though.

Yeah i saw that too...DD-WRT will be fine..give it a try tomorrow!

The best way to fix a linksys is to chuck it in the trash and get a netgear ...

Are you kidding? I've had 3 614's and they have all given up the ghost after just about a year. Surprisingly, the two routers I've had the best luck with was an CompUSA rebranded eHome and my new Rosewill N.

Got the DD-WRT installed, wow super easy to setup/tweak/love! Lets hope it was a software issue not hardware cuz im liking this!!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
