Wireless Networking Woes

I have recently bought two Belkin Wireless network adaptors and want to connect a desktop to a PC without the use of a router or access points. i.e. an AdHoc computer-to-computer connection. Having installed drivers and set up the network the two computers cannot talk to each other, one machine is running Win XP Pro and the other Win XP Home. Can anyone please advise on what steps I should take to get the network working. I shall look forward to any assistace possible, thanks Brian Lee

I have a Belkin wireless PCMCIA card with the Belkin router and it works perfectly.

However I don't think these cards are designed to be able talk to each other, only to the access point which is the router.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
