I don't know If we can do this but....

I'm curious, how is:

1) The Retail version of XP faring with SP1 Beta (legal copy).

2) The Non-Retail version of XP faring with SP1 beta (other).

Peeps: Please no flames.
MODS: Please shut this thread down if not allowed.

Doesn't work on my retail xp version. Seems fine, then you reboot and it keeps switching itself off just as the cursor is about to come up.

There is no way around it other than the boot disk repair sequence.

I tend to disagree... MS IS stupid...

Without going into any detail...
I followed the betas of Xp with each release,,, The early betas were very easy to bypass WPA,,, Then came build 2472 with a new WPA that no one knew how to get around,,, A registry trick was used that erased system settings... These settings,,, Passwords,,, user names,,, etc,,, had to be filled in by the user after each reboot... There is still no 3rd party cracks for Xp... But even before Xp was released MS released a version that had the very files to bypass WPA... They made the "crack" themselves...

And to make things worst SP1 will install on a system that has an "artificialy" generated cd code...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
