WinXP install only needed fuction

WinXP should have a function where it scans your computer before it installs and seeks out the software you need to run your computer, and then just install it and nothing else. That way you dont have all this extra software that you'll never use. If you installed something new it didnt support, you could just throw your XP Cd in there and it would install it. Yeah it might be time consuming when you get new hardware, or something that doesnt run, but if would free up a lot of space, and ram.

This is supposed to be a feature coming in Longhorn. Apparently, there will be many changes to the installation of the OS, so that an entire installation can take as little as 15-20 minutes. That will be great.
