I think there was 1015 and 1015.1 - this build, I guess, merges them and makes teh build a little more presentable.. adds last minute updates etc.

Ever since installing XP SP1 Final some images will not load up, especially small GIFs. Instead they are replaced by that dreaded RED CROSS.

Is there any way to fix this?

I think you do it via Windows Restore. That's if you hadn't purged your restore data like i did.
