what file is the "playcount" stored in for the media player? i assume one of the many dll files... thanks in advance

Always make Backups

Clear the Recent Play List from Windows Media Player

This tweak allows you to clear the recent files and URL history in Windows Media Player.

Open your registry and find the key below.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player]

To remove content that has been viewed over the internet, clear the [...\RecentURLList] sub-key.

To remove the entire file list that you recently played, clear the [...\RecentFileList] sub-key.

Restart Windows Media Player for the change to take effect.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
