Windows ME and .tmp files

    Is it safe to delete any .tmp file in the windows directory? There are a ton of them most are like fff1267{CFCB3etc....tmp can I just do a search for *.tmp files and then select all and delete any that I am able to delete?

    You'll be safe to do so.

    If you want, Download CCleaner -- it'll help you delete all kinds of temp file junk and other files not needed.

    I recommend that if you do delete them, to either make a backup or to throw em in the recycle bin for a few days/restarts to make sure they weren't needed.
