Windows Live Messenger 2009 beta is out

    it's out! get it here (its v9, but they call it 2009 now)

    tons of changes, but i think the biggest one for all of us using vista is that the interface is finally WGF native (or, aero-like.. and yes, im a fool for looks :p)


    i've tried for about an hour and seems stable, tho i didnt try cam, mic or any other advanced stuff
    oh, and of course, the msg plus! extension isnt compatible yet.. but it probably will soon

    I tried the alpha version of this and it about killed my system. I hope this one better. Thanx for the info.

    Got it very early this morning thanks to a mate. This is the first MSN Messenger/Live Messenger I have actually liked looking at since ever. Now all I need is for the new A-Patch to be released for it. :)

    I agree that an a-patch would be nice. Those adds get annoying ...

    I never understood why Microsoft and Yahoo build ads into their IM software. Doesn't AIM come sans-ads?
