Hi Guys,

A good buddy of mine was asking me if Windows 2003 had a builtin FTP server and if it could be configured like Bulletproof server. I, of course, have no idea. I do know that it has a Web, Mail, File servers. I guess it is one of the many questions that his boss has before they buy a license from MS. I think that they are replacing some sort of Linux setup that no one understands.

So, does Win2003 have a builtin FTP server?

Not a "server" per se, just a service, which is fine for "get" and "Put" commands etc. You need to have permissions set up for each account accessing your box via the service/protocol. If you want all the GUI stuff as well as all the other more robust FTP server functionality, you're better off running Bulletproof, Cute or Serv-U,

Actually he'd be better off running *nix using vsftpd. :p

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
