winamp3 style cd playing in winamp2?

in winamp3 the cd playing function is done using extraction directly from the cd. this means their are no gaps between tracks. this is a good method. in winamp2 however, it closes and reopens the device between tracks, reading each track separately, thus causing gaps between the tracks. what i want is winamp3 style cd playing in winamp2. is there an input dll anyone has which does this? also, is it possible to use the in_cdda or whatever it's called from winamp3 in winamp2?

Maybe a winamp2 crossfade can do the trick. Check the winamp website for one of these.
