When i download winamp 2 skins the file extension is .sz, to get the skins to work i have to rename it to .wsz, but i tried to make it open with winamp, which was a mistake coz now winamp tries to play the skins! and i can't change it back, so i can't get anymore skins now! any ideas?

Try un-associating the .wsz file type from winamp
Then re-install winamp over your existing install (no settings should be lost) and it should re-gain the correct association

open a folder, any will do...
    click the Tools menu
    then 'Folder Options'
    Click the 'File Types' tab
scrool down to WSZ, should be near the bottom somewhere
    then click the 'Delete' Button

Re-Install winamp and everything should be fine...

    Did you know? (hehe)

.wsz files are just zip files, rename the file .zip and extract it to your skins directory.

true, i spose if you don't want to re-install you can just dump the .wsz or the un-packed contents into the skins dir and only use winamp to change skins, its easier when you can just double click the skin file and it loads tho ;)

    Hrm, odd...
perhaps you can try setting it up manually...
do the same as before to get to the file Types menu, then add/edit .wsz too look like this....
