win98 help

i remember there was a file you could run that would repair system files in 98. i used to run it and it would check and repair the missing system files but i can't remember the program name. i know it comes with windows. any help please?

it is system file checker, but the corrupted file version check feature can mis report updated files as corrupted ones, it is better to use it to replace known bad files from the 98 CD.
