Not a clue as to what happened, but my win media player (I'm running XP, so whatever version came with that) just does not respond.
When I click on the start menu, highlight Windows Media Player and click, I get a "ding" sound and nothing else happens. If I click on a wav file or mp3 file I get the same "ding" and nothing. I can right click on a mp3 file, choose the play option and nothing, just the "ding".
However, If I access that same wav file or mp3 with another CD Player or Media player program, then that program can play the file fine. What gives?
