Will This Work...

If I'm a gamer and big time music listener (and movies) which X-Fi card should I get, "Platinum, X-Fi Fatal1ty, and what else is there, I think there is an Xtrememusic one, but I need great sound for everything.

The base product will be just fine. The others are geared at audio/video editing and such. Unless you need the front ports which I doubt you do.

What is the base product called, just Soundblaster X-Fi or what. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Yes, but that says its made for music, I'm a hardcore gamer too.

I don't believe the other models offer anything more for gaming. Just audio/video.

Alright, well I looked over what I need, and the prices, I'm going with the Platinum card.

Hmm, the Fatal1ty version seems to much more then Platinum...hmm

Since Platinum seems to be cheaper in most places, and has gaming mode and everything else, I guess that's the best choice for me.

You're missing the point though.

The XtremeMusic is the base product.
The Platinum is the XtremeMusic with the front bay.
The Fatality is designed specifically gaming. It has what Creative calls X-Ram.
The Elite Pro has the features of both the XtremeMusic and Fatality.

Yes I see that, but man I hate money lol. Fatality is so much more.

I am a true gamer, so I guess Fatality is the best choice. It is also great for music so, I guess that's what's important.

I just want to make sure you understand the Platium is the XtremeMusic. The only difference is that you get the addon bay. It is the SAME exact card.

Yea I understood that, I was just being myself lol

Thanks

I'm not that good at getting information of sites if there not well organized, can you please stat what are the differences between the one I have posted and that one?

The 760A is 18X/10X compared to 16X/6X for the 716A.

It's Plextor's latest model. $119.00 SRP.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
