This is more than likely an easy one. I have something running in the back ground using cpu cycles and cant figure out what. What is the best way to see what it may be.

right click on your taskbar and select "Task Manager"

i'll will tell you everything you need to know about what app is running and how much cpu and ram its taking up

Thanks. Thats the same as the three finger salute. Is there anyway something hidden could be running ? MBM is reporting cpu being used but nothing appears in the task manager.

    Thanks Again

Just sort the items in your task manager by cpu usage..svchost uses some cycles, explorer will always use a few..MBM itself is using some if you are looking at it.
