Sill Brits, they are not crisps, they're chips. While I am at it I will spell some words correctly.
if crisp are chips what are these?:

Mmmmmmmmmm you can't beat chips and beans with tomato sause and pickled onions :squareeye
lay's.... wanna lay
Lays crisps are nice
Here in Canada they're more well known as French Fries or Fries, some restaurants also call them chips when grouped with fish, aka 'Fish n Chips' but they're mainly called Fries here.
'Chips' usually means what this first post was 'meant' to be about hehe.
'Crisps' here, usually are baked and have less fat etc...
french fries are a much thinner version of chips
I like my chips fat
theres a chip brand out here called deli chips...the jalapeno are incredible
nothing can beat pringles! i luv em all, u know ther slogan is true: 'Once you pop, you can't stop!'
I also like the lays french chesse .......yum!
I feel the best are the ones I make in either the oven, fryer or microwave.
To me nothing beats these nice warm chips.
Some history on chips or crisps and instructions for making your own can be found at the link below but for frying I use a fryer and not a skillet.
rep points coming for the history of chips
