with my resolution at 1024x768, the nav bar is just out of view when i scroll down, so it goes out of view...

The navigation bar isn't supposed to be fixed at the top of the page but on some resolutions it is just viewable as you scroll down the page.

I take it you mean for the table? How would one go about doing that? Creating images and setting them as the background? If so that wouldn't work because of the different resolutions

There is a way to do this and avoid resolution problems. I have to sleep now, but I will explain as soon as I have time. Maybe tomorrow.
