website and firewall!

hi.

i was browsing the internet, when i tryed to access some page when on some webiste it asked me to disable my firewall before i could access the page that i wanted to access. i never disabled the firewall in case it was dodgy.

does anyone know why this was?

Trust me you do not want to do that.

some websites may need to use cookies which most firewalls will complain about...

i still wouldnt disable the firewall though.
