I'm new to the webcam stuff and with family out of state I would like to start sending videos to them. I also will be traveling a lot and will probably use it with my IM software as well.

But is there any good free webcam software...the stuff that came with my webcam is awful. Trying to figure out if the software is crap or the webcam is (it was really cheap so I might be getting what I paid for)!!
