Web-Cam Portal

 you don't buy computer stuff from argos do you?

Here's two at around 10 pounds (postage from this place is about 1.50) one two

And here's the list.

no but there's an argos close so i could have picked one up on the way home ;)

hmmm they look ok but i dunno anyone that has 1............are they any good? i want it to be use....take stills + take videos.

i was looking @ logitech range.

Well I doubt you'll get any better pic quality out of a logitech one than an un-branded cam (Unless you but a £80+ logitech) , webcams were never designed for quality.

ALL webcams will do video to my knowledge, after all they're just a camera slapped into a USB port.

The thing you want to look for is the resolution and frame rate that the camera supports, these will be a maximum of 640x480 (which you will rarely, or never use) and 30fps.

i'm currently looking @ the logitech DEXXA Webcam, it looks nice, good quality, low price + good name.

Mines a Vivicam from Maplins.Cost me the pricely sum of 34.99p :p

ordered a logitech quickcam zoom webcam

£35 inc vat. p+p =£2.50

great deal, if i had walked down the road it would cost me £50....................so i saved £15 by sitting on my ass :p

pcworld.co.uk!!!!!!

they had a special web offer on so i couldn't say no..... normally i wouldn't buy from them :p

I got an error, probably because they use sessions and timeouts via the url.

As lame as PCWorld may be they do occasionally have some good stuff on their site :)

i thought the link may time out ;)

indeed, normally i would buy anything from them but the cam was a good offer :D

uurrgh, please don't tell me that your PC is a packard bell ?

Nope mines an e machines and it came with a desk , printer , scanner and camera. All for under £700 :p
And I luv it....Don't even think about abusing it

:p

I'm saying nothing except that any hardware I've seen come out of PCWorld is nice, but the upgradability is none existant, and all that "free" stuff they bundle with it (scanners, printers and so on) is usually complete crap.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
