If you were in Mexico you would have the day off to watch it in public on a big screen , of course this being Football you might hear something on the news if they win < maybe .

Can someone explain to me how soccer is the most popular sport in the world? I've tried to watch it, but I keep falling asleep.

I'm tired of reading Americans talk about how they find soccer boring.

There is no scoring, its a 90 minute game that 85% of the time ends in a shootout, great, I'll just watch the shootout.

Another great stat about the world cup, no team has ever lost that is up 2-0.

    Exciting.

I didn't post to say it was boring, I asked what the fuss is about. I seriously want to know. I just can't find absolutely anything entertaining about it.

What you may find lacking in entertainment might be exhilarating for someone else. Obviously everyone has different taste. I mean, ask how many people around the world think Baseball is any fun to watch, or even (American) Football.

Its understanable for someone from the USA to not understand football .
