In C & C there is a nice feature that you can select many soldiers and then click CTRL + number and the group will select itself when you click that number.

I didn't find this in WC 3, does it exist?
if yes I missed it how do i select a group?

    Thank you !

you just drag a box around the units you wish to group, then press CTRL and any number (0-9). Pressing that number again will select the group, pressing it twice will centre the group on the screen. Unfortunately you can only group 12 units at a time, so you'll have to set them all to follow each other if you want a few groups going in to kick ass together :)

Yep, that works for any player units. I typically put a peon or two in ctrl-9 so I can get them to repair quickly.

if you have a group of 11 set up for hotkey 2, you can add a 12th by clicking on a unit while pressing shift and the number 2. idle peons can be called on by F8 i think
