I just started using my voice recognition for my gps, and it's alot of fun

I'm supposed to be able to use the voice reconition engine for "word" and internet explorer, but I can't figure out how.

it says something about a language bar, but I can't get that to show up.

    anybody know what to do?

I used dragon software some time ago. It installed a toolbar in word if my memory serves and also from right click quick launch, toolbars, etc...

I am sure after I rebooted it also left a toolbar on desktop, I am sure this was in XP.
Just found the disk, it was Dragon Naturally Speaking Version 5.

Are you talking about the voice functions in Office XP or an add-in program?

The features in Office XP have to be installed and enabled. I don't use mine because they introduced major stability problems.

The software itself, that I mentioned, Dragon Naturally Speaking.

you should be able to right click on the taskbar and hover over toolbars, language bar should come up there.

it's the native voice recognition engine in xp that I'm playing with, and it seems like I have to install the language toolbar from the office cd....got to dig that up now...once I installed programs I mostly forget where they went

You mean in Office. Windows XP doesn't feature voice recognition, unless you're using the tablet edition.
