UPDATE:
I replaced again the P5N-t Deluxe with a third one, and tried to install vista, and again it didn't work, it would not recognize the hd's. Tore apart the machine again and tested the RAM, and HD on my 4400+X2 machine and all was fine. I gave up trying and told the store that I bought the mobo from that I am absolutely certain that it was the P5N-T Deluxe itself, and that I would like to purchase another mobo altogether. I picked up the XFX mobo with the nvidia 780 chipset. Now it worked no problem, Vista loaded up onto the RAID'ed raptors without a hiccup. The store tested using the same setup I was trying to put together and could not load their vista, BIOS incompatibility, they said.
Oh well.
