Those are both XP options, you should use BCEDIT.exe as suggested.

When i double click on bcedit.exe it just opens and closes again, is there a way i can open it to modify it?

If you have your XP disc handy, boot into the recovery console and type "FIXMBR" - once that action is completed, type "FIXBOOT" - I think that may fix it for you.

Yes that fixed it like a charm, i am formatting it now with the duel boot removed. I can't thankyou enough, i was starting to get worried. You have been a great help
