I have a VISTA business upgrade CD for my lappie and on it I have M$ Office, bit in the chaos that has been my life lately the key for office is lost - if I install Vista over XP Pro on the lappie I assume all apps (including Office) are lost, am I right?

IF I am right - can I use Open Orifice under Vista, or is there any prospect that I shall be able to in the future (and if so when approximately might it be expected)...

Sorry to be such a dumbass, but I really have been distracted totally by many many loops being thrown my way IRL. :dead:

Not all apps are lost, but you will find that you might have to "enable" them. It's what I had to do and all my files were fine :D Heck even my games survived.

Naturally if you are formatting your drive, you're going to lose the data.
