virtual memory

    Somebody can tell me how virtual memory I obtain with 8 GB of RAM?

    First off, I bow to you with your RAM amounts :)

    Windows XP Professional x64 Edition supports up to 128 GB of physical RAM and 16 TB of virtual memory. Now, since you have 8GB, I would assume the 1.5-2x multipler still comes to effect, so roughly 12-16GB of Virtual RAM.

    What, is this an Oracle server or something? :D I think it will be a long time before people start putting 8 GB into their home machines, at least even somewhat uncommonly.

    Most of my servers at work have 16GB of physical RAM, and they aren't Oracle servers :)
