viewing dvd on second screen using tvout (ati)

    Hi,

    Is their a way to view my divx/xvid/all the rest on my tv without having to clone my desktop ? I mean I still wanne be able to use the computer when the kids are looking to a cartoon ....

    Any thoughts ?

    there are 2 types of 7000's out there afaik... but thats irrelevant..

    I believe it has dual ramdacs (low speed ramdacs but dual none-the-less)

    you should therefore be able to work on your desktop and configure your secondary ramdac to output a separate img to the tv.. so you SHOULD be able to do what you want to do...

    I would recommend using a 3rd party app instead of hydravision though... but perhaps you can do your configuration through the control panel itself...
