Ok, i've been without the 4in1 since I installed windows XP
and everything runs fine and smooth i got to say, but i've read so much (good and bad) about the 4in1's that i decided to check them out.

I installed VIa 4in1 4.40P3 which is the newest one and my system started to act up a LOT (sound cracks, slowdowns, etc)

so my question is, what 4in1's are the best ? which ones DO make your system better?

My specs:
AMD 1.2 ghz
Biostar M7vkb
256 RAM
Windows XP pro
SB Audigy Plantinium EX

Any comments are welcome,

Thanks

P.S. sorry for bad English

Yep, if you are not having problems then dont install them.

I have the VIA 4in1 v 4.38 and everything is alright.

Just wondering how you can tell which version you have installed?

if you go to VIA Arena they have a list of the files in the pack and their versions you can then do a search for the files on your PC and find out that way. Mainly people generallt remember or they only have one installation file and that has the version number either in its properties or in the file name.

run 'regedit' and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Via4in1Driver

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
