Well, not sure how many of you have even heard of this term, but I've been waiting for news on this ever since I got my ADSL connection back in 2002.
There's not a lot of information but BT seems to be wanting to adopt this approach over ADSL2+.

Seems promising but it still gets its ARSE kicked by FIOS...

and with everything going to fiber, cable modems are catching up since they dont have to share bandwidth, with other users..

I'd like to see cable modem prices coming down soon, I pay $49.99 a month :(

BT pulled the plug on installing fibre in new houses back in the 1980's. Think it was something to do with the costs on implementing the changes in their own equipment at the exchanges or something.

FIOS is different, it is only fiber to the home, not throughout, it goes back to fast ethernet when it hits your home...

very efficient

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
