I was taking a look at the users profiles I have set up and the groups that they belong to, and I have a couple of questions about it. There are three that I want to make sure it's safe to disable... "Internet Guest Account," "SQLDebugger," and "Launch IIS Process Account"... these are the full names. I have IIS installed, but I'm not using it right now and I probably won't for quite a while. Any info on these would be appreciated.

depends on what's running on your system. You're probably running SQL or program that needs access to some sort of database. Those are service accounts needed by the operating system to run. IUSER, the Internet Guest Account, is det up by default when IIS is installed. If you don't need it, you should definitely uninstall IIS to remove any vulnerabilities on your pc. You can find more info on those system accounts on Micro$oft's site. But yeah, those are accounts that aren't normally used so I'm pretty sure you can disable them if you didn't want to remove IIS

Alright, thanks guys. I use Visual Studio .NET occassionally for a class, and I needed to install IIS to work with .ASP... didn't really want to though since I know it's attacked like none other. I will go ahead and disable the accounts. :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
