Heh, I've been playing it since 2000 and pretty much still do on a daily basis. (While ETQW, HL2: Orange Box, BF Series, CoD4 sit idle on my shelf) I guess the ease of how the game plays keeps me playing it. It's pretty easy to find a server, load the game, select your team, weapons (there's no buying weapons, no weapon unlocks... what you see is what you get) and yer off. Since it's based off of the q3 engine, the load time is quit a bit quicker than the newer games. I've seen some compare this game to counter-strike but urbanterror plays quite a bit faster.

EP: Yeah, it's been standalone since the previous version 4.0 which was released last April.

PS. If you goto http://www.complex-microcosm.com and check out the right side of the page, there's decent pictures of the weapons, maps etc...

I still occasionally play Enemy Territory (not the QW version).

    Haven't played this yet.

mm.. u should try it... its quite different to all those cs clones

has some realistic features, but a really arcade core... and great graphics for its time

i've been waiting a new realease to get back to it, since 4.0 maps sucked bad :p glad to hear its coming soon

ps. its standalone now, but if anyone owns q3, get the mod version., which has pb support

The wall jumping and power sliding that they've added in previous versions add to it quite nicely :)

Sadly, PB's pretty much nerfed support for Q3. However it's a good system for server admins to use since admins can add custom cvars, .dlls, etc to scan for along with their guid system. It's just rarely used since the majority of server admins chose to go with the io version to allow the influx of stand alone users to play.
