Upgraded Office, lost address book.

My mom just e-mailed me, last night I upgraded her from office 2000 to office xp pro. Everything went well. She uses (and used) Outlook express to read her email. She just e-mailed me saying she "lost her address book".

I haven't been over there to look for it yet, but I might have to...

On my own computer, thinking I could find it on mine, then email her with some instructions, I couldn't even find my own address book [at least as a .wab file]

it seems the address book is only a .wab file when you choose to export it for backup.

where and what is the address book file normally, before someone wants to export or import a copy? That is where I'll tell her to look...

I wonder why the upgrade made her lose it?

HERES WHAT ID DO... SEARCH FILES AND FOLDERS FOR .WAB FILES... IF YOU FIND IT IMPORT IT WITH THE WIZARD... THEN BACK UP THE OLD ONE (TO FLOPPY OR CD)

When searching had you 'search hidden folders' enabled. The default path to the addressbook file is
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\ Microsoft\ Address Book\ username.wab
Application Data is a hidden folder. This may be the reason you didn't find it.

Other possibility see the last chapter on this site:

You guys rock, thanks. I will take this info to her house and have at it.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
