Is there an updater that can determine if I can update my bios/motherboard. ?
ASUS update for ASUS boards
Where are these ASUS updates at i would like to get them.
it should be on the disk that came with your motherboard
You should be able to check 'em out at http://www.asus.com
Click under support and download, select your motherboard model and click on BIOS. : ) Hope this helps ..
After finding my model and going to BIOS, then do I go to motherboard as the next option. If so it asks about various slots and utilities. How do I determine which slot #. I ran Belarc Advisor to get a read out of my system specs but couldn't find slot information. I was hoping there was an update utility that can read my system and determine what I specificly need so I don't download the wrong update. This stuff is new to me..
What sort of processor are you running on?
Basically Socket 370 is for P3 / Celeron, Socket 478 is for P4. Socket A is for Athlon .. ??
Either these few ..
I replaced my Celeron with a Pentium 3.
