unwanted IE menu item

for some reason there's an extra option in the tools menu of IE. it's call Messenger Addon and when clicked on takes me to a webpage with messenger tools and stuff on it. the website is quite obviously not related to microsoft so i believe a messenger addon i've installed must have put it there. i was wondering if there's any way to remove it? any help would be appreciated.

Don't know much about messenger, uninstalled it long time ago, but the extensions of the IE tools menu can be found in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions . You can perhaps there get some more information about it and from where to uninstall it. If you delete (after a backup) this key it won't show up again, probably.

thanks alot yoyo. i just deleted the corresponding registry key and now it's gone. thanks for the help

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
