OK...I live in Germany but I'm french...I run Windows Xp Home edition in french on my old computer...
I intend to buy a new one and then I will get Windows Xp in German with it...and I don't want that!

So...How can I install my french Xp on the new computer...because it's activated for my old one...The hardware will be totally different so after 30 days I will not be able to activate it again...

Shall I phone to Microsoft hotline to talk about that problem??
Is there a way to avoid paying Xp in German because I will never use it??

Thanks for your help

if you have the french xp cd then just install it on your new computer it will fully install you will just have to reactivate it, microsoft has no problem with you doing this as long as you let them know.

they do if your planning on using both computers the old one and the new one.

good point iceman ,dont try to run xp on both machines they are a little funny about that one

Call Microsoft and see it you can use the german cd-key/license in a french installation on the new machine.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
