unread email notification in Logon???

    on one of our logons in WindowsXP Home Edition, it states that we have 17 unread emails, when in fact, we don't have any unread emails.

    We have emptied the inbox, outbox and sent folders in Outlook Express, logged off, rebooted, and the same thing shows up at the logon screen.

    Is there any way to clear this information so it isn't annoying us any more??

    Have you tried looking at other accounts in your mail client.Also check both mail clients(ms outlook and outlook express)
