This OSNN Forum sure have lots of unactive members.
Like 67.3% of members registered and keep increasing.
I feel that member should at least check back once a while, to keep as active status.
:speechless:

Alot of people signup because they want access for one post, or just a few. Once they get what they want, Razr content for example, they don't come back. Some people sign up and don't even post at all.

Ban them.... jk.

I was referred by NLM and Im sort of an addict now.

Sort of?

Isn't that an understatement

I sorta agree with King. I think the unactive users with a certian post count sould be deleted after so long.

Sign Up juz for a post. :yowch:
Maybe Admin can do something about this.
A temp account?

You would think that with having the Johnny here, people would be flocking to this site lol! :D

I was gone for several months, and others have been gone from time to time as well. You never know when someone will come back. And if the admins/mods took actions to manually delete and restore accounts/posts (say when someone returned), it would make more work for them. Besides, if they were active in some accounts, but left for a time, for whatever reason; deleting all posts from them from that given thread (if one were to delete the account cleanly), would also seriously break up the flow of the conv...

An unused account, probably doesn't take that much space on the servers, unless it's chock full of file attachments and what not...

I think the idea of delete accounts with less than 10 posts that are inactive for a set amount of time should be deleted or at the very least.. a forum bot should send out a warning of account deletion if they don't send an acknowledgement of it.

Wouldn't be hard to implement, either.

Wouldn't be hard. But there's no need.

Hint: It's not going to happen!

Didnt need the hint though, read your previous post.. but I did feel the need to voice my opinion. :)

Voicing opinions is frowned upon, and violates forum guidelines :p

No harm letting users juz to register.

Personally feel that unactive users will junk up Nice/Favourite Nick when new user trying to register and will be active.

more members in the database, more advertisers, willing to pay more, etc... there is a reason EP didnt clean house (besides being a lazy ass :p )

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
