Unable to rename folder problem

    need some help here.

    i'm trying to rename a folder. it is currently not in use by any other program, but i am unable to rename it (i've closed all apps).

    here's the error message i get.

    can anyone tell me what i need to do to fix this?

    check to make sure its not read-only

    no, the read only box under properties is not checked.

    any more suggestions?

    Try doing it the same way you would delete a stubborn file. Open the prompt window to the desired location. Open task manager/processes & close explorer. Use the rename command in the prompt window. Go back to task manager/applications & restart explorer.

    i couldn't rename the file after trying several different ways. after a coulpe of hours, i went back to try again and bam! i renamed it. guess it was one of those windows glitches or something.

    anyway, thnx for your help and suggestions hipster.
