Ugly icons in 16 bit color desktop

Hi,

My video card doesn´t support 32 bit color, so I need to set it to 16 bit so my video accelerated programs works, but all icons change to 256 color versions.

I remember in win98 there was an option to force the use of high color icons, but I don' find it in win xp.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much yoyo , the registry value already exited but it was set to 32, now my icons looks good, not as good as 32 bit icons but much better than before.
