I have a MiniTyphoon from Thermaltake. The fan has sleeve bearings. It died after about 14 months. I can't believe a $60 CPU cooler wouldn't have ball bearings, but it didn't and I'd suspect this one doesn't have them either. The mini also had those stupid accessory fans that do nothing other than get in the way. That said, it keeps my processor at idle around 90F and under load at 115F. The stock AMD cooler was about 100F and 135F respectively.
artic 7 pro does for me
Hmm Im actually in the market for a new fan. What do you guys think of this one.
looks funky - i would make sure it fits into your case
yup lol. hmm Ill check out some more reviews.
Just look to the right of the picture. That's a pretty bad rating.
This one does the trick for me
I Dropped the following on my q6600:
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775)
Socket: Intel LGA775, Fan Speed: 900 - 2500 RPM, Airflow: 45.0 CFM, Noise Level: 0.9 Sone, Fan Connector: 3-Pin, Dimensions: 104mm x 58mm x 126.5mm.
runs it great at 3.00GHZ
what i use
Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme <Best CPU cooler I've ever owned. Currently have 4 of them.
The two coolers below are also very good.
Sunbeam Tuniq Tower 120
The Zalman CNPS9500 is good for Core 2 Duo. It couldn't keep up with an overclocked QX6700 though.
