I just finished reading the "Tokey thread". I must say, this author really knows how to write them. All the characterizations were set forth quickly, with the aggressor defined perfectly. The suspense grows as all character's anger builds simultaneously. As the rational thoughts (the "Id", shall we say) trickle into the marsh, the aggressor taunts even more anger from the lot!
In a great frenzy of anger, flame, accusations...the power of almighty MOD reigns supreme! The climax of the story falls after the clearing of the carcasses, with the revelation of the guilt of the accused, far after his departure.
