    Ricky Gervais was the consultant for it, but I don't think it will be able to beat the british version, of course.

    I think the above link is the entire pilot, but can't check it from work :(

    It's not the pilot. That looks like a scene from the new series.

    The pilot is mostly a word-for-word remake of the British pilot. The new series uses all new scripts.

    I dunno. I loved the original, but I'm not opposed to the idea of an American remake. All of it will really depend on how well-written and funny it is.
