The Mystery of the changing Product Key...

If your running DevilsOwn copy of XP and you have installed SP1....reboot...then when you view the product key with ViewKeyXP.exe the key is something like:

BBBBB-BBBBB-BP6QA-HMGYF-XCERT

Does anyone know why?

My guess...could be nothing...could be keyviewer bug...could be part of the Activation hype...for now though, I have noticed no problems.

You can generate a valid key for XP, but after you reboot, seems to revert to the above format.
