Leo, try using xp's firewall. All you have to do is turn it on.
Control Panel/network connections/. Right click on your isp/properties/advanced. Turn it on. :)

I've been using XP's for about two weeks now & it seems to work well. If it is already there might as well use it. :D
 
I hope you guys realize that just because you are running a firewall it does not make you totally secure from attack. Especially when you tell people what firewall you are using.

Check out NewOrder and you can see some of the vulnerabilites your firewall has. ( Just do a search on your product.)
 
Stealthed Ports (TCP/IP):-

I’ve always wondered what this means and in fact found out some time ago that all "stealthier" ports are. They are ports that do not respond to anything thrown at them by port scans or the like. This does not mean they can’t be accessed.

Nice site, i visit there frequently.
if you think of it. Your system is never completely secure.
but firewalls and antivirus software protects you against n00bs that are trying to Netbus a random ip.

Its called removing the modem or LAN cable. Then bada bing bada boom, unhackable.

Course you cant get on the net to prove that with shieldsUP but I think it should work
