Sync'ing T'Bird Contacts with Gmail Question

Hey all,

A quick question.

I setup my thunderbird email client with a gmail imap setup. My thunderbird is syncing the mail with gmail now without issue. my question is, does the contacts also sync too?

I imported the original thunderbird contacts as a csv file into gmail, but doesn't look like the new entries are syncing with gmail.
