Ahhh, adware, the gift that keeps on giving...

    http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.surfsidekick.html

Before cleaning turn off system restore (risky but adware, virii, etc. love to hide in your system restore files). After you are sure you are clean turn system restore back on. And then stay away from those kinds of sites.

You've got some crap there, probably will take a couple go through's.

As LeeJend said, first off, disable system restore: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=264887

    Now have HJT fix:

Disabled system restor, closed browsers and fixed the listed problems in hijackthis but it had a problem. I'm using HijackThis 1.99.1:

"An unexpected error has occurred at procedure: modBackup_MakeBackup(sItem=O20 - Winlogon Notify: App Management - C:\WINDOWS\system32\h8n00i5me8.dll)
Error #5 - Invalid procedure call or argument

Please email me at merijn@spywareinfo.com, reporting the following:
    * What you were trying to fix when the error occurred, if applicable
    * How you can reproduce the error
    * A complete HijackThis scan log, if possible

    Windows version: Windows NT 5.01.2600
    MSIE version: 6.0.2900.2180
    HijackThis version: 1.99.1

This message has been copied to your clipboard.
Click OK to continue the rest of the scan."

Also, the following files/folders do not exist:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\csrrs.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\p6p6lg7s16.dll
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\mc-110-12-0000140.exe

Alright, I can get rid of a couple things, including surfsidekick, and trim it down to the following hijackthis log (although once I restart outside of safemode they come back):

Click on this link http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip to download TheKillbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file Now double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the 'Paste Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste this entry:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\r6p8lg7u16.dll

Next, click on the Action menu and choose "Delete on Reboot". Click the button with the red circle with a
white X in it. Close killbox.

I had to run Hijackthis while in safemode to be able to remove svchost, so I took the log after rebooting into safemode. Also, there was no svchost.exe in the startup folder. Thanks for all the help so far, I don't like giving in to viruses/adware and reformating.

OK, still have a couple that are being pesky. I thought I could get rid of the l2me infection with killbox alone, but lets go with this method.

Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop. http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=7

    * Close all windows before continuing.
    * Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
    * Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
    * You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 1 minute. Click OK
    * When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
    * Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
    * You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
    * When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
    * Your computer will then shutdown.
    * Turn your computer back on.

    Post a new log.

Now this is looking promising, I can once again access my task manager, taskbar and have control of mozilla with no popups yet. I didn't notice any programs having re-installed themselves also. Here's my log again in case anything slipped by.

You still have these two entries:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [csr] csrrs.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [csr] csrrs.exe

Remove those, boot into safemode and delete

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\csrrs.exe <--file, careful do NOT delete csrss.exe

Reboot and post your new log.

You also are running an outdated version of Sun's Java. You should uninstall v1.4.2 and download and install the latest one from java.com
