Speed Touch USB modem (Alcatel)

At present im using 1.6 beta drivers for my modem but i keep getting disconnected if i use any other the pc crashs. I know there has been alot of problems with this, just wondering if anyone found fault free drivers.

I am currently using 1.4.3 drivers which came on installation disc with modem, and have had no problems so far. Have just downloaded latest drivers from http://www.speedtouchdsl.com/dvrreg.htm but have not yet upgraded.
Latest version drivers are 1.6.1.5

i tried the 1.6 drivers every 30 min i was disconnected , reverted back to old driver ,everything was fine.

The Green Frog, I just sold mine, I strongly reccomend getting rid o that Green monster and get yourself an ADSL router with modem built in, simple to configure, just plug it in, tell it your ISP settings and your away

does anyone know how to stop the modem from disconnecting with the 1.6 drivers?
